The surname Coyle has origins in England, Scotland and Ireland. The Irish Coyle stems from the gaelic "Mac Giolla Chomhghaill" meaning "the son of the servant of St. Comhghall".Select Audience

Annette Coyle-Desmarais
My Coyle ancestors arrived in America beginning in 1832 with Thomas Coyle (1807-1880). He and much of his family settled in Scio, New York. My great-great grandfather was his brother Bernard who married Rose Ann McKinley. I would love to know about the family before they Arrived from Westmeath.

Mary Coyle
I am looking information on Philip Coyle born 1864 & Mary Ann Kane born 1865. They were married on 1/1/1886 at St Mungo's Chapel, Glasgow. His parents were John Coyle and Helen Brady who apparently originated from Coote Hill in Cavan. These are my great and great great grandparents.
